Founded in 2015, Rawston-Michaud is a boutique design house focusing on the needs of home owners and developers in the Mid Atlantic region. James Michaud, founder of Rawston-Michaud, has a passion for incorporating mid-century modern and contemporary schemes with the areas local history and culture. James’s focus is on pin-pointing his clients needs and lifestyle in order to give them a space that improves their way of life and wellbeing.
"With the increased development of urban neighborhoods, it is becoming more important than ever to preserve the structures historic value while adding modern conveniences. The history is the personality of the building and neighborhood which I incorporate into all projects. I do this through preservation of historic wide-plank hardwoods, brick walls, and existing structural beams, exposing their raw historic beauty."
